Easter 2003

A Joyful Eastertide

As we celebrate the joyous season of Easter, and our new life in Jesus Christ through the gift of His sacrifice, we also celebrate and give thanks for the numerous other gifts that have been given to each of us since last Easter.

The Executive Council of the Anglican Fellowship of Prayer offers particular thanks this Eastertide for those who have made financial contributions to our ministry over the past year. As we receive no financial support from the National Church, our ministry would not have been able to continue, had it not been for the support and sacrifice of these contributors.

We also give thanks for our many Prayer Warriors, and for those who are organizing and coordinating two upcoming regional conferences.

The first conference will be held in Seattle, Washington from June 6-7, 2003. This event is sponsored by the Clergy Association in the Diocese of Olympia and St. Mark's Cathedral, and will utilize the Power House of Prayer Workshop materials. It is being coordinated by the Rev. Dr. John Rodham and will be led by former Canadian AFP directors, Tom and Betty Gracie. The second, entitled "Awakening the Heart through Prayer", will be in held at Trinity Church in Saco, Maine, on June 27 & 28, 2003. This event is being coordinated by long-time AFP member, Shirley Conner, and will be led by our own Executive Director, the Rev. Lottie Cochran. Both conferences are open to everyone, and there is still time to register for either. We invite you to participate in either (or both) of these opportunities for re-creation and renewal in our life in the risen Christ. More information is available for you on the back of this newsletter.

Your friends in AFP give thanks for you and wish you a joyful Eastertide, filled with awe and wonder in all of God's works. We hope to see you in June.

Peace in Christ,
